QR codes for product packaging

Packaging is printed in long runs and ships for months. A static code locks you into one destination for the life of that print run. A dynamic code keeps the printed artwork the same while you change what it does, and tells you how often customers actually scan it.

What this actually looks like

  • Print one code on the box; repoint it from a launch page to a manual, to a reorder link, as the product's life moves on.
  • One code per SKU or production batch, so scan analytics show which products get engagement.
  • Run a limited promo behind the same printed code, then switch it back when it ends, no reprint.
  • Send registration, warranty, or how-to-use flows without cramming URLs onto the label.
  • Password-protect a code for authenticity checks or wholesale-only information.

Also useful for

Consumer goods updating manuals over time, limited-edition drops that change destination after launch, wine and spirits linking to provenance, and brands A/B testing two on-pack calls to action by pointing two codes at different pages and comparing scans.
